Mona Chawla

Anahita ChawlaMs. Chawla is a founding member of the Firm. She leads the practice on all aspects of business & family immigration, including obtaining employment and investor-based visas for professionals, companies, and businesspersons wishing to relocate to the U.S. or the U.K.  She also advises clients on international surrogacy arrangements, parental order applications, and the immigration consequences of having children abroad.  Ms. Chawla has extensive legal experience in her field, which includes working for top international law firms in New York, Chicago, and London. 

Ms. Chawla has been published in the New York Law Journal and various trade magazines on immigration matters. She is also called upon by established universities, consulates, and companies to give talks on the current immigration trends. She is regularly published in the Economic Times of India and has been featured in Success Magazine as 'Law's 10 most powerful Asians.'   Ms. Chawla is listed in the industry's highly regarded publication, as Who's Who of Corporate Immigration Lawyers.

As a member of the New York Bar and Law Society of England & Wales, Ms. Chawla is admitted to practice law both in the United States and United Kingdom. Ms. Chawla is also a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, International Bar Association, and British American Business Council.

Born in New Delhi, India, Ms. Chawla has lived in several cities across the globe.  She is a dual national and speaks three languages.

Elizabeth Sheridan

Elizabeth SheridanMs. Sheridan is a Founding Member of the Firm. She leads the practice on all aspects of global immigration, with a specific focus on the Emerging Markets. She has been practising United States immigration law, representing clients in all matters of consular processing and visas, for nearly ten years. Ms. Sheridan has abundant experience with multinationals, handling their immigration needs within the U.S. and across the globe. She is regularly published in periodicals, newspapers, and magazines highlighting the various immigration options individuals and companies have when doing business in the U.S.

Ms. Sheridan is also a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association and International Bar Association.  Her achievements include being recognised as 'Best Lawyers in America' as well as being listed as a 'Global Law Expert.'

She is proficient in German and Farsi. She is a member of the New York and Illinois bar.

Laine Armstrong

Laine ArmstrongMs. Armstrong is Of Counsel to the Firm. At Clarus Law Group, she leads the firm's Surrogacy and Parenting practice in managing the surrogacy process for local and international clientele.    Ms. Armstrong also devotes a significant amount of time to charitable and non-profit causes revolving around children's issues, educational programs, fund raising, and general advocacy. 

Ms. Armstrong has had varied legal experience for more than fourteen years, including business immigration, employment law, intellectual property, mediation and litigation.   She is admitted to practice law in New York and is a tireless advocate for her clients, empowering them by providing a strong foundation of legal information and support. She graduated from Fordham University School of Law in 2000.

Ms. Armstrong is a member of the New York Bar.

Michael Aspell

Michael AspellMr. Aspell is a qualified solicitor in the United Kingdom and New Zealand. He specializes in all aspects of UK immigration, focusing on advising investors, business persons, and skilled persons on their options to relocate to the UK.  He has more than 15 years of experience in the immigration field combined with extensive experience in providing relocation training aimed at smoothing the assignee’s adaptation in the host country.

Born and educated in New Zealand, Mr. Aspell left his home country in the early 1990s to pursue a career in professional rugby, which involved him moving to Israel before settling in the UK. In 1995 he began working in the field of immigration law. His various roles enabled him to travel across numerous locations including China, India, Bangladesh and Jordan, where he briefed potential migrants on UK immigration regulations.  A published practitioner, Mr. Aspell worked for a wide variety of organisations including large consultancies and blue chip law firms.
